Come outside and celebrate the start of a new season with the 7th annual Spring into Statesboro festival sponsored by Dr. Troy Lawhorn of Statesboro Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery! Come Downtown on April 21, from 9-1 for games, children’s activities, shopping, food, and fun for all ages.
The event will take place on East Main Street, and local dignitaries will kick off the day and entertainment will take over our community stage with music and performances.
The Main Street Farmers Market will be open and will be selling farm-fresh produce. Also, stroll down East Main Street to purchase crafts, jewelry, soaps, and other homemade goods. Make sure to support downtown businesses such as Heirloom, Southern Soaked, Charlie’s Funky Junk, House of Treasures and more by shopping local on Saturdays.
The festivities continue with activities set up by Georgia Southern Recreation Department students.“The Georgia Southern University Recreation Program is excited to partner with Downtown Statesboro Development Authority again to host another event for the city of Statesboro.” Dr. Brent Wolfe said. These activities are free for the community thanks to the generous sponsorship of Dr. Troy Lawhorn. Imaginations will come alive with fun activities such as superhero training and a mini Olympic games.

Favorite local mascots will be walking along East Main waiting to meet their fans and you may even spot your favorite princess courtesy of Princess Productions! Kids Farm will have their cute and friendly alpacas ready to take pictures. Kids will also enjoy jumping and playing in a bouncy house from Party Harbor.
Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful will be hosting a local Great American Cleanup event during the Spring Into Statesboro festival. Participants will collect litter from areas around Statesboro in order to encourage cleanup and beautification efforts within the community. Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest community improvement program, which takes place annually in an estimated 20,000 communities nationwide.
The Statesboro Historical Society will present their newest historical marker during the festival. The dedication will take place at triangle park at 11:00 a.m. and will celebrate this significant investment in remembering the history of Statesboro.
