This year’s May F1RST Friday event was different than ever before! The DSDA will be partnering with Three Tree Coffee and Big Boy Cookies for Fiesta de Mayo on May 4, 2018. This is the first time F1RST Friday will be held in the Midtown Market on South Main St. This is an evening full of fun you won’t want to miss.
This Latin-themed event will have entertainment provided by El Sombrero. Dark Shark Taco Attack, Brunner’s Burritos and Bowls and Chazito’s Latin Cuisine will be bringing their food trucks and serving five-star Hispanic food. D.J. Jesse Mejia will be playing an assortment of Spanish music.
Also, the DSDA will be hosting a homemade salsa contest sponsored by Tormenta FC. You are encouraged to bring your favorite salsa recipes for a chance to win a prize from a favorite downtown businesses. Salsas will be judged during the Fiesta de Mayo event.
This F1RST Friday event will be a collaboration between the DSDA. and the businesses located in the Midtown Market, 441 South Main St. We will have designated parking and be sure to look for the parking signs. Midtown Market parking lot will close at 4:00 PM and the event will run from 5:30 – 8 PM.

Don’t forget to purchase your Downtown Discount card, featuring 18 different businesses in the downtown Statesboro area. These cards will be available for purchase at the DSDA office at 10 Siebald St. or at F1RST Friday events. The cards will be sold for $10 and can be reused until April 2019.
