Taste the music and taste the fun on Friday, September 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the Wells Fargo Advisors’ Taste of Downtown. Enjoy an evening of appetizer sampling and live music while you discover our finest local restaurants and shops.
Come join the festivities with your family and friends while learning what our Downtown has to offer! The First Friday fun begins when you journey on and food sampling scavenger hunt and taste treats from 30 of Statesboro’s best restaurants. You can also shop in our finest local businesses within walking distance of the Courthouse. Participation is easy; just simply purchase a wristband and location map for $5.00 (cash) at the First Friday tent on the Courthouse lawn, and you are all set. Local vendors will also be set up on the Courthouse lawn including those selling handmade jewelry, handmade soaps, and art among others.

Along with the amazing food and shopping, there will also be live entertainment throughout the event. Brandi Harvey will be on stage at the Courthouse, Juliet Muldrew will sing and play at West Main St. by the new Bull & Barrel Steakhouse, Dan Larkin will perform at Eagle Creek Brewing Co., Divvy Desk will feature Josh Waldrop, Queens and Criminals will play at Pladd Dot Music, Christopher McCollum will play in the alley by Georgia Southern’s Fab Lab and you can enjoy a great concert and street party at American Roofing featuring Dylan “Sunshine” Bragg who will be playing along with Greg Kearney.  They will be doing a drawing for a 40 inch Roku Smart TV.

The Averitt Center for the Arts will offer discounts on  ACA tickets and classes during the months of September and October to individuals who purchase “Taste of Downtown” wristbands. This offer is good ONLY on the night of Taste of Downtown. There is something fun for everyone downtown Statesboro.
