Join the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority for Puppies on Parade — the annual Paw Walk crafted for the dog lover in all of us. The Paw Walk will be held on Friday March 6 at the Downtown Statesboro Dog Park from 5:30-8 pm.

This F1RST FRIDAY event showcases all of Statesboro’s prettiest pooches and bestest boys with a costume contest and plenty of activities for you and your pup to enjoy together. A $5 entry fee for the costume contest directly benefits the Downtown Dog Park and allows your pup a chance to show the judges their best runway walk. 

Prizes for the costume contest are provided by local sponsors and include treats for man and man’s best friend. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded in both the large and small dog categories as well as special awards for the Judge Favorite, Best Behaved, Cutest Pup.

Other activities include a plethora of puppy kisses and a fundraiser for the Humane Society. Various local businesses and vendors will also be there to meet any and all shopping needs or food cravings and to help give you and your dog a day you can never forget.
