This week we’d like to shine a spotlight on a newly revived downtown business, Southern Pottery & Art Studio.
A business that is family-oriented and delivers a space for family and friends to have fun and express creative avenues is what describes Southern Pottery & Art Studio.
Jill Carter, the owner of the downtown business, explains how her business offers the Statesboro community a fun, inexpensive, and upfront way to be creative. “You can enjoy painting your own pottery, canvas painting, clay hand building, and glass fusing without needing to make an appointment.”
A fun fact about Jill and her family is that they are huge Georgia Southern fans, “We are very supportive and attend as many Georgia Southern events as we can,” said Carter. “We love Georgia Southern so much that our logo has the outline of Georgia, so one can say one we still represent Georgia Southern within our business.”
Carter wants this family business to be involved with schools, youth groups, and the Statesboro community. She feels that it is important “to give kids a creative outlet that lets them freely express their individuality.” Southern Pottery & Art Studio’s future plans are to expand, gain more customers, offer more services, and continue to be a part of the Statesboro community.
Shine your own spotlight on Southern Pottery by visiting their location at 42 E Main Street and following them on social media! (Facebook, Instagram)
