The Mirror on Main boutique is the newest addition to the Downtown Statesboro fashion scene. The boutique, owned by  Maria Proctor , who also co-owns The Quince of Your Dreams and owns The Collective and Vine and Prom Bae, opened on August 5, 2024. The new boutique brings affordable and professional fashion to Downtown Statesboro that still remains trendy.

“As a working professional in the area, I noticed that most boutiques in Statesboro cater towards college students,” said Proctor. The Mirror on Main boutique offers a chic assortment of business casual clothing and accessories, perfect for creating new outfits or layering with existing pieces customers already have.

Proctor also wanted to create a boutique that would not only attract business professionals but other clientele as well. With Statesboro being a college town, she aims to welcome any of the 20,000+ students that call Statesboro home. The Mirror on Main boutique offers a variety of clothing options suitable for students, Georgia Southern faculty, and anyone looking to refresh their wardrobe or express the latest office fashion trends.

The Mirror on Main acronym is MOM because she also wants to offer her curated selection to modern mothers who are looking for trendy clothing options without having to compete with their daughters.

Eventually, Proctor would like to start hosting after hour events. These events would allow people to come and learn about styling. For example, learning how to take one top and make three different outfits with it or learn how to accessorize outfits that they already have. Proctor explained that she envisions the shop to be a place where people can come and get fashion consulting that will take their closest to the next level.

Proctor is dedicated to providing her customers with high-quality yet affordable professional and fashionable clothing and accessories while also creating a hospitable environment where she values their feedback.“Statesboro has grown so much and there is so much diversity,” said Proctor. “When a customer comes in, I want them to feel truly welcomed and appreciated because they could have gone anywhere else.”

The Mirror on Main boutique is located on 65 E. Main St. and they open from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday.  Go and follow their Instagram and TikTok, for more information, visit their website at mirroronmain.com. .
